About the Artist
Enid Viljoen
Enid Viljoen is a fibre artist based in the Western Cape of South Africa, near Malmesbury and Riebeek-Kasteel. Her work brings together cloth, fibre, paint, and embroidery — quilts and textile pieces that carry the expressive energy of painting into the language of stitch and fabric.
Craft and sewing have always been central to her life. She works across techniques including quilting, embroidery, crochet, and sashiko — practices that honour both making and mending. Whether at the sewing machine or with needle in hand, she approaches fibre as a medium for colour, texture, and story.
